GPT Tips and Tricks
-
Clear
cookies after each offer. No exceptions. A lot of the sites are
subsidiaries of each other.
- Download
CCleaner . This is not required, as you can manually clear cookies, but this
makes it easier with the touch of one button, and you can save cookies you
don’t want CCleaner to delete. For a more detailed guide on setting up CCleaner,
check out my GPT Starting Out Guide !
- To
clear cookies manually for Firefox: Tools--Clear Private Data--Uncheck all
but Cookies. To clear cookies manually for IE: Tools--Internet
Options—Browsing History—Delete Cookies.
- Set-up
2-3 Gmail accounts solely for doing offers. You must rotate the e-mail
address you use because a lot of the sites use the same database, so it’s
essential you alternate. The beauty of using Gmail is that you can create
seemingly different e-mail addresses from
one e-mail address. Gmail lets you put periods within your account
name, and databases will see this as a new, unique e-mail address, when in
fact they all go to the same inbox!
For example:
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
The key to doing this correctly is
staying organized and writing down or using an Excel spreadsheet to keep track
of which version of your e-mail address you used with each survey/offer
company.
-
Download
Roboform . This program is a Godsend for filling out forms. Again, this
isn’t an essential program to download, but it makes your life wayyyyy
easier. For detailed instructions on setting up a
Roboform “offer” identity, check out my GPT Starting Out Guide .
- Don’t
do surveys by the same company back-to-back. I am guilty of this myself.
I’ll get a survey to instantly credit and I’ll get all psyched and think,
“More, more, more!” For optimal crediting results, do 2-3 surveys by the
same company a day. Remember, the creditor is looking for any little thing
to deny you credit.
- Leave
your web browser open for 3-5 minutes after you complete an offer before closing
the brower window out. In some cases, closing browsers immediately upon finishing
a survey/offer does not give the creditor database enough time to process
your completion.
- Limit
the amount of times you try to enter a survey. Because a lot of
survey/offer companies share databases, you might have to try several
times to find a unique e-mail
address the company does not have on file. Only try a couple of times and
come back later. The creditors monitor the amount of attempts and will
deny if it is too high.
- If you
enter an e-mail address and it totally skips the address information page,
THEY HAVE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS IN THEIR SYSTEM. Close out and retry with
another, but still be mindful of the amount of times you attempt to enter
a survey.
- Don’t
speed through the surveys. Creditors are now timing how long it takes for
the survey to be filled out, due to people abusing the system by using bots.
I usually take a break (30 seconds max.) mid-survey and check my e-mail or start another
offer.
- In my
experience, with 1st page submit offers (zip/e-mail submits),
it is smarter and safer to fill out the second page (address info. page)
too, keep the browser open a few minutes, and THEN close out the survey.
This has helped my approval rate with Generous Genie a lot.
- If it
is a “participate to win” survey, and you reach the end page, click on one
of the offer links and leave both open for a few minutes before closing.
This has helped my credit approval with Brandarama dramatically.
- As a general rule, when in doubt of a safe stopping point to receive credit, just do the whole thing. Now I know "Yes/No" surveys are long and tedious. BUT, I have a tip for ya. Simply click the "No" button for the first question on a page, then hold down the left "Alt" key and press the "=" button (by the backspace), at the same time. BAM! A whole page done automatically! =D Remember though, by utilizing this, it will decrease your survey times dramatically, and it is especially important to take a break after a few pages of "No" and check your e-mail or do another offer, etc.
- Keep
your g-mail accounts open in different tabs while taking surveys. Some
companies require e-mail confirmation before giving approval. Because of
the sheer amounts of spam you will receive, just clear out all spam before
starting so you will be able to recognize new mail coming in.
- There
seems to be an ongoing debate on whether Firefox or IE is better for
credit approval. I personally have had better luck with IE, but some
people swear by Firefox. I would suggest doing 5-10 offers with each
browser and comparing which one you have more success with.
Whew, I think that’s it! GOOD
LUCK!
