GPT Starting Out Guide Included below is a beginner’s check-list of suggested things you should do to ensure you start off correctly. Please note: not following this guide does not mean you won’t make money, this is simply meant to make your life easier. We want to get you forming the correct habits/routine the first time around. For a more detailed overview, please read GPT Tips and Tricks . o Download CCleaner. o Download Roboform . o Set-up 2-3 Gmail e-mail accounts. o Set-up a free online phone number account. I suggest www.k7.net or www.LaserVoiceMail.com. I have provided additional companies for online phone numbers on my PrivatePhone Alternatives page.
Finding your way around CCleaner When you open up CCleaner, you will see 4 buttons on the left side of the screen: Cleaner, Registry, Tools, and Options. You really only are going to need to utilize the first (Cleaner) button and last (Options) button. The beauty of using CCleaner is the fact you can select the cookies you don’t want deleted. The first time I used CCleaner, I couldn’t figure out why I had to log back into the GPT site after I cleared my cookies after each offer! I had not selected the cookie for the particular site to be saved!
Configuring Cookies to Delete/Keep To configure the cookies you want CCleaner to NOT erase after each offer, go to Options, then Cookies. You should now see 2 columns, Cookies to Delete and Cookies to Keep. To select the cookies you want CCleaner to ignore, simply highlight the title of the cookie in the left-hand column and press the right arrow button in the middle to transfer it to the Cookies to Keep column. If you make an “oops!” and want to transfer a cookie back to the Cookies to Delete column, simply highlight it and press the left arrow button. Remember to check back as you join new sites and transfer the sites cookies to the Cookies to Keep column.
Ok, so by now we have set-up the cookies you want to keep, and now it’s time to clear the bad ones out! To do this, click on the Cleaner. This should bring up two tabs: Windows and Applications. Under the Applications tab you will find options to clear out Firefox. Make sure the following boxes are checked under the tabs, these are the minimum boxes needed to ensure cookies are cleared. Use the other boxes as needed.
Applications: Cookies and Internet Cache. Please note: in order to clear Firefox’s Internet Cache, it requires you to close out Firefox. I would suggest clearing your Internet Cache once a day, because reopening Firefox after each offer is tedious. Remember: CLEAR COOKIES AFTER EVERY OFFER!!
IE: Tools--Internet Option--Browsing History--Delete Cookies. Firefox: Tools--Clear Private Data--Uncheck all but Cookies.
After installing Roboform, open up IE or Firefox and you should see a Roboform toolbar near the top of your browser. We are going to set-up and identity which you will use to fill in offers/surveys. I would not suggest putting a default e-mail in the card, as you will need to watch and monitor which e-mail addresses you use with each offer.
