Personal Thoughts on GPT Site Ratings

We all have been to a site or personal blog that has rated the GPT sites on a scale from 1-5, 1-10, etc. I don’t personally think these ratings hold much validity. Take for example CashCrate. People sing praises on high for this site. I joined CashCrate simply to check out what all the hype was about. I’ll be honest, I think CashCrate is a good site, but I don’t understand all the excitement surrounding it. Ratings have begun to mean less and less in my eyes.

We all have sites, no matter how big or small, that we like for different reasons. If CashCrate gets a 5 star rating, then I have a whole slew of GPT sites that get 5 star ratings, but never get recognition. People like sites for different reasons: success in offer completion, overall atmosphere, a friendly site admin., frequent contests, a clean user interface, etc.

I personally like smaller sites. You build stronger relationships with the site admin, fellow members, and there are more fun ways to win money (daily trivia). Although the contest prizes may not be as large as the bigger sites, they are much more frequent, a.k.a. more chances to place and win.

So if you see a site with a “3 star” rating, keep the above in mind please. All sites deserve a fair shot; you never know what you might find.
